School News

The school library is the hub of the Singleton School Community.  We have commenced the upgrade by installing shelves that can be moved to create space.  It now makes this area a multi-purpose area that can be used to conduct staff professional learning, parent presentations and to continue to run our current school programs.

We are thankful for the P&C for their hard work and dedication that they put into fundraising.   At the P&C meeting this week the contribution of 10 000 dollars towards tables, chairs and other furnishings was approved.  This will further enhance the durability of the library and improve the aesthetic look.

Our Library is the hub of the school managed by Miss Emma Pitchford. We have recently updated the library so that we can use it for different purposes including meetings and presentations.

Story Time is held in the Library on Wednesday mornings from 9am, run by one of our fantastic Kindy teacher, Mrs Tracey Hall.

Our School Chaplain, Christell Lotriet can be found in the library on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is available to all students and families.

Quiet Time is an initiative at Singleton that occurs daily after lunch. Music is channelled through the school PA system from 1:30pm to 1:40pm. We request parents do not collect their children during Quiet Time.

Keep an eye out for exciting library events such as the Book Fair, National Simultaneous Story Time, NAIDOC Week events and of course Book Week.
